It's diminishing returns on holiday movies this week! Blood Beat may be a rough-hewn, folk-art, tone-poem of a movie, but at least it was fun to watch. The same can't be said of Whoever Slew Auntie Roo, Shelly Winters notwithstanding. And The Body tells a familiar story, and not particularly well. Still, we're all nice and loopy by the end of it.
Next week we're taking a brief holiday hiatus, but Matt and Megan will discuss Ash Vs. Evil Dead.
After that, for the first show of the New Year, we've got an...eclectic group of movies. We're watching:
The Corpse of Anna Fritz (Shudder)
Lake Bodom (Shudder)
Sharknado 5: Global Swarming (Netflix)
So, from all of us weirdos to all of you weirdos, have a Happy New Year and we'll see you in 2018.

Our bells are jingling and our halls are decked this week, as we dig into a trio of Christmas-themed movies. P2 is a serviceable, if slightly sleazy, thriller. A Christmas Horror Story does a lot of things, but none of them particularly well. And for Josh, Better Watch Out brings joy to the world, but it's a silent night for Matt and Charlie.
Next week: Even more, even weirder holiday films! We're watching:
Blood Beat (YouTube)
Body (Shudder) Note on the episode I said this stars Michael Fassbender, when actually it's Larry Fessenden. Minor differences.
Whoever Slew Auntie Roo? (YouTube)
Our short is The Life of Death (no, not this The Life of Death, which is also good). Watch along and we'll chat atcha next time!

It's a wild, weird, wooly bunch of flicks this week! The Exorcism of Emily Rose somehow successfully mashes up The Exorcist and Inherit the Wind. The Devil's Rain pits Captain Kirk against a goat-ified Ernest Borgnine. And Witchery is weird enough that pregnant Linda Blair and greasy David Hasslehoff aren't the oddest things about it.
Next week: Christmas movies! We're watching...
Better Watch Out (Shudder)
A Christmas Horror Story (Netflix)
Watch along and we'll chat atcha next week!
