It's all Species all the time this week! We dig the first one and marvel at how many prestige actors are in this thing (Forrest Whittaker, Ben Kingsley, and Alfred Molina? Yeesh!). The second one has even weirder Giger-esque monsters, and the third one... exists. We guess.
It's a Troy TrTroy kinda week this week! The erstwhile Slaughterhouse Princess co-host got to pick all our movies this week. Why, you ask? Because he's a Patreon supporter! Okay, that reminds me of the best joke I heard this week. "Can schizophrenia sometimes be mistaken for telepathy, I hear you ask?"
This is one weird, wild week. We review over 40 shorts between Fun Size Horror Vol. 1, ABC's of Death 2.5, and Geist. And we also explore Charlie's intense hatred of shorts (the garment).
It's not every episode we unearth a hidden gem of a movie, the kind where we can't believe we never heard of it. Well, this is that episode. The Voices is what this podcast is all about, and we can't stop gushing about it. Our praise is a little more qualified and reserved for Breeders, and faint at best for Don't Look Now. Still, man. Ryan Reynolds, Gemma Arterton, and Anna Kendrick slaying a darkly comedic serial killer movie with absolutely gorgeous cinematography? We'll take it.
This is one goofy, loopy recording, you guys. Beyond Exhaustion Matt is the best Matt. We seriously enjoy the ridiculous Slugs, but Chawz and Mimic get split decisions. No big arguments, just big cockroaches.
